The importance of knackering yourself out when bivvying… sound advice indeed. I was trying, in vain as it turned out, to walk the Derwent Watershed last year on a very hot October weekend. After 12 hours or so I collapsed in the bag and passed out. I enjoyed that kind of dreamless sleep when you wake up and have no idea where you are. This was an achievement as might night in the bivvy are normally fitful.

Sorry… that should say 'my nights'. Obviously didn't sleep too well last night 🙂
